    • Deliver high rates of Positive interactions
    • Use Mindfully Present responses to conduct concerns
    • Empower Self-Efficacious learners
  • Universal prevention is working when 85% of students have 0-1 office discipline referral, less than 15% of students are identified as needed tier 2 or 3 level interventions.
  • Universal prevention is characterized by:
    • Having a school leadership team that coordinates school-wide implementation.
    • Use of data and data decision rules to monitor outcomes and adjust implementation.
    • Coordinated school-wide plans that guide implementation procedures for:
      • How school norms and related SEL skills are taught, cued, and reinforced.
      • How to differentiate strategies and practices at the area level to support struggling learners.
      • How to determine when to deliver an area versus an office level response to a conduct concern.
      • Implementing a school-wide menu of intervention options to address behavior and conduct concerns.
